Sensorless ESC Ezrun with sensord motor?
Hi, i have a Ezrun Esc, which is sensorless. Is it possible to connect a sensored motor, without connecting the sensorcable?

Actually this should work. The motor donīt need the sensor for working, itīs the ESC that needs sensor or not.
The opposite is a problem. If you have an ESC like LRP or Novak what can run sensored only then the motor must have sensors but your way just let the sensor wires alone.

Like i said, i have the Ezrun 60A BL sensorless ESC, Version 2.
When i attach a sensored motor, without the sensorlead, what will be the difference compared to a senored ESC, like for example a LRP Sphere.

The diff is the sensored esc's will put out more power due to the fact that the esc's software makes full use of knowing exactly where the rotation of the rotor is and apply advanced timing for more power. This is possible with some sensorless systems, like ezrun, but only to a certain degree. Sensored based systems are more superior, for now anyway.

Ok, thanks for the answer. I chose the Ezrun because the lack of space in the F104. Maybe later iīll buy a 10.5 or 13.5 sensored motor, because at some races here in The Netherlands thats required.

I'm going to run a Novak 13.5 with an Ezrun 60a esc. The one test run I made in my JRX-S Type R, it was as smooth & responsive as it was with my Xerun 120 sensored esc. Main reason I went to the 60a sensorless esc was space. The 120 is too big & heavy for my Type R.
Hoping to do more testing soon.
I also read on another site that a sensored motor used with a sensorless esc would burn up quicker than on a sensored esc. Any truth to that?
