any reasons for this, is it just how they fit the tyre? or is the bigger size actually giving you an advantage over small wheels ??

AKA-Ideally 2nd V2's I have tried a set of V3 just to try and tbh seemed a little more stable over rougher ground.. but seemed to loose a little response.. But I prefer AKA and AKA rubber then Proline

i prefer the losi rims. the bead doesn't roll back over the tire so the side wall can flex alittle more. i was finding that the sidewalls were chopping out on rough tracks because they were cutting on the rolled back edge. the losis dont have it and i haven't damaged a tire since
the new V2 and AKA wheels are the same aswell. i just use the losis because i have them

i found that most of the smaller size wheels had the rolled over bead
