Nope.....Bust out the caliper's and you'll be shocked as i was.....ALL LPR's are 4"......wacked as it may be....the caliper's wont lie....there may be 1-2mm of difference...but nothing like 1/4"

they are if anything 1/8-1/16 narrower then the AKA Ibeams i comrared them to......ill go see what they look like beside some Panther's...BRB.

You are still wrong, the measurement on your LPRs needs to be from the base of the rim, not including the lip, VTRs don't have a lip like LPRs. inside diameter of LPR tires is approx 3.7" and VTRs are approx 4.0", LPR tirs would prolly stretch onto VTR rims, but not the other way around

Why wouldn't you measure from "tire/wheel across diameter to tire/wheel"? To me that's where the action of the tires starts from, so to speak.

Thanks for the info guys.

Per Proline's site, the inner mounting diameter (where the bead is) is 3.7" for LPRs and 4" for VTRs. The outer/rolling diameter are approximately the same between LPR and VTR. And it seems VTRs are slightly narrower per Proline's site (and as can be seen in integra's pictures).

Jaz - I'll have to look into those AKA foams. I still have unmounted standard size tires which would probably greatly benefit from better foams. The stock foams are very soft.

Actually it was Integra that posted the pics. Anyway, so that's odd that Integra comes up with same measurement for all the rims. It seems like Proline has picked a different spot to measure from. I must be overlooking something.

thats because LPRs, including the extra lip are 4.0", but where the tire actually glues, its only 3.7" the VTRs don't have that extra lip on the outside




see how there is no outer lip? its 4.0" total diameter. the LPRS 3.7" diameter, plus a lip of .15"

+1 they are measuring the mounting surface of the rims. Since the VTR's use a buggy style mounting bead, the rims are a different shape. Measuring from where the bead sits, the VTR rims will be taller. Measuring the very outside diameter of the rim's face, the measurement will be the same between LPR and VTR rims. They use totally different mounting beads so they are NOT interchangeable. VTR tires can only be used with VTR rims. VTR rims can only be used with VTR tires. That is without modification of the tire or rim.

but i still stand by my comment that they are Very Similar if not identical to the LPR in the handling dept...Proline Didn't re-Invent the wheel they just put a new spin on it.

Performance wise they are close to the AKA tires, but far better than the proline LPR tires.
