It took me almost 3 month to track down all those parts. I had a shop in Japan find most of the parts for me (RC champ). Then, I have to fine the saddle pack chassis in HK. It took me three months to gather everything.
I haven't run the car yet. Didn't have the chance to, and also, I don't have the $$$ now for the electronics.
But as far as performance goes, on the KX-one thread ppl are saying KX-one is extremely effiencent and runs very smoothly. But it has the tendence to understeer.
I can't common on that since I haven't run the car yet. I wonder if I will ever run the car. Since most parts on the car is out of production, and according to RC-Champ. They could not find those parts anymore, since the kx-one line was discountiued in Japan long time ago. A lot of the parts that they find for me are actually from other shops in Japan, and not from Kyosho itself.
It's a very unique car.

Nice car !! I may have to machine some carbon fiber parts myself if the parts aren't available anymore.

I would say it has little to none flex. It's extremely stiff. I also opt. the strengthen chassis supports. so it makes the car very stiff. And those aluminum bulkheads that is holding the car together are pretty thick also.
RCMonk.
I think you can still get the saddle pack chassis from Harmony Hobbies in Hong Kong. you just have to write them a email and see what happens. Go check the Hong Kong thread. They have the contact info in one of those threads.

Just wanted to share my very own KX-One... thanks to TRF-Powered for the parts hookup... but WOW, his car is a lot more complete than mine...
BTW... I already ran this baby a couple of times and found that it's a very predictable car... not too much setup options but will likely work on most surfaces... I'm currently using HPI springs on mine... oh and of course a thick chassis protector made of lexan... I just can't see this rare car rubbing the concrete... It'll hurt bad... hehehe!

Looks nice, I whish I had one myself.
Sad, that Kyosho didnt put more into the KX One, it seems promising.

nice car! i've seen one myself at our local track, it has a 2-speed option installed... that i would say is the best option you can put in there!

hey eeyan!
I still need a little more time to get the electronics for this babe!
I have full set of Kyosho springs for KX-one from soft set to the firm set. If I do see you in races, you are welcome to try them out.
About that Two-speed option. That is the only option part that I not get for my kxone. Since it is illegal to use two speed in most races. And they are expensive, and from what I heard, easily borken.
Maybe I will see you next time at LM race in Feb?!
BTW, how do you make those chassis protector again? Where Can I get all the materials for it? Thanks.
