Any tips?
My tip would be......

Get a Novak Ballistic

I already did! And I LOVE the Ballistic 13.5 -- I also bought a Baillistic 17.5 and have a 13.5 stator on it's way from the Novak Shopatron site... The SpeedPassion 13.5 was an experiment -- you don't know until you try -- it wasn't "bad", I just never got it to perform like I wanted compared to my Novak motors. (My 18 month old 13.5 EX with upgrade to large bearing and sintered rotor outperformed it by a wide margin.)

Agreed, it's what I sprung for, Novak Ballistic 13.5T + Tekin RS + Tekin Hotwire.

I recently bought a Tekin RS Pro 13.5 system . Very happy with the adjustment capabilities and the performance . Stormer has the best price for them and so far more reliable then with my experience with Novak .

I run a Novak GTB and a Murfdog 13.5. It is awesome and can pull more gear than the Novak motor.

That really is true The reason I got the novak ballistic motor
was the sensor plug was verticle to a way its hidden from most dirt
and it is sealed, and the heat sink shell has deeper lines, so it will
have better cooling, I didn't like the plastic backing on the Tekin as well
both are great motors but I like the Novak motor better with the Tekin RS
ESC, great buy

You can adjust the timeing on the motor itself along with the timing on the
Tekin RS ESC really a nice feature

I am also going the tekin esc and novak ballistic route. Have 2 tekin rs esc's already, a 17.5 and 13.5 ballistic with a 10.5 on the way.

Time to get rid of some of my old motors.
