Default Series Points Standing

Hi All, been away from socal for a week or two but, I can smell whats cooking in our Kitchen here,... my 2 yen on this hot topic (THE MOTOR),
this series we have , opens up two fun challenges, that some may have over looked

#1 How to out run everyone in your classs
#2 Unfortunately to achieve #1 we have this limiting spec rules,
which we have to optimize and conserver on whats given to survive the series

the key is, balance the two and your golden.

any who.... for all who's been "touched" by the posts about this topic,...
its all good.... to start of this is a FORUM, for all of us to discuss all the good and the bad, for us to imporve on what we love about this hobby,.... FUN.

Now let me veer to what is fun,... Racing... finally I've updated the points standing after Race#4

Novice Class

Dennis maintains his lead in this class, closley stalking behind is JC
whos been havin a seesaw standiings with Deves who comes in 3rd
at 4th anytime ready to pull the rug underneath yall in this class is
Romeo.

Sportsman

How do you spell Close Racing ,.... is it O M F G?!!!!! Mark G and
and Robert had been at it since the ealry rounds of this series with only
2 to 3 second difference during their qual and their mains, even a fly can't squeeze in between these two.,, Chillin at 3rd is Revo, but Charles
(Mr.808) is just 6 pts behind

Experts

Always Spectacular, tied at first is Lee and Mickey, the TQ's been dribblin between these two awsome drivers, while safely at 2nd is Mike from
www. exotek.com , Charlie_B tied him self with Carl at 3rd, and Paul closely
waiting for the right moment at 4th

Round #5 will be an exciting one on OCT 18 at Surfcity with OC CIRCUIT.

Just look at the sedans... You can tell who is running a standard brushless speedo vs the new tekin/ko/spx with the delayed timing advance.. All these brands are $200 with out the motor....
Then Spec the ESC as well..there is a company here in the US that CAN offer a combo brushless esc/motor for about $65...if they step up to the plate, that can solve some of the issues...

I agree with this solution right here. No maintenance and best bang for the buck. Lets make this happen. After all this low cost budget to get back into the hobby is what got a lot of us out of retirement. $65 is a great price for what we are getting.

and it will level the playing field and narrow it down to chassis setup and driver ability...

where expert will mean expert "driver" not expert "silver can modder"

Yeah...how was it? We had all this rejection for the Mazda 6 and RX7 body and only 2 signed up for sportsman class... Gotta love the internet.

I wanted to thank Patrick and Yusuke from ABC Hobbies for sponsoring the Mini 4wd class! Congrats to Yusuke for taking the 3rd place honors in the Rookie ABC Class! I think the ABC Miata body is probably the best handling Mini 4wd body out there. Low profile, no one traction rolled with it on high speed turns! Very Exciting racing in the Pro Mini 4wd class. Lee, Mike, Anthony, Tony, and JAson all had Excellent Battles until the very end. Lee took it home! For all who missed this this event, you REALLY missed out! It's probably one of OC Circuit's biggest Venues!

Hi Patrick,

I hope you are feeling better! Missed you at mazdaCup.

On the motor topic- I hope you maybe would put it to vote to your participants. For some, any change over to brushless (even spec brushless) will no doubt require funds that may not be available to some people in these hard times. I'm on board with anything you approve of course.

At this point, it wouldn't matter now if ABC decides to bring in their own brand Brushless system. I will support ABC in anything they do.
