the easiest way is to buy new rims... I've heard of some people boiling the rim in water though.

you can soak it in acetone but it may melt the rim. Use to do it for pancar and f1 foams.

why not just chuck the tire in a truer..and just shave as closely to the rim as possible. save trouble and mess!

randman is right, save your time and effort and get new tires and rims! it might save money re-using waht you can, but i could tell you that after a few times soaking boiling baking...whatever, you will be all fed up with the mess and just get new tires!

the only think i would suggest you reusing is the inserts, just cut open the tire and take the insert!

Dont try the baking suggetion that people try. It makes greast tires for only carpet after they are done. But if you drive tem on the street they have great traction for about 10 minutes then they just get to tacky and you just lose alot of power

Boiling works great just leave them in a saucepan full of water for for a few hours(top up as necessary). The ca goes brittle and the rubber will just crack off the rims. Works great and doesn't hurt the rim, tyre or insert.
