Whats the price for the MI3 chassis kit?
#18
My Schumacher is totally transformed. I was not a big fan of the original MI3's performance for Socal temporary asphalt tracks- just WAY too stiff and also a small window of optimal handling on permanent asphalt tracks.
With the new chassis the handling is just incredible now on these tracks. More rear grip equaled being able dial in more aggressive steering... I won't go on about it but once word gets out after people try it watch out
I think the 009 would benefit a lot with the additional flex in the rear end of the chassis, i have tried the fibreglass T2R chassis plate, but i think it just flexes too much from the motor forward. The slots in the rear end of the chassis would help remove the Xray tendancy to lose its ass on low grip tracks.
Um no. Ha j/k Chris! If there is demand I have the capability.
$79.95 for the lipo chassis. Probably about $15 for the top flex plate.
I'll get these into production this month. Hopefully I can at least sell enough MI3 lipo kits to break even on the development cost
Thanks all for the support!

MY 3.5 will only be race on carpet with rubber tires . Does this chassis have the same benifit on carpet as it does on asphalt ?.
#22
carpet is higher bite then asphalt, you may want to check into the 3mm carpet chassis and carpet top deck.

Since this thread has talked about other cars.... I would like to see an ABC genetic chassis. Thicker with 5000mAh lipo brace . And I 2nd the TB03 chassis.

Typically, when running rubber tires on carpet you would still use stock thickness bottom plates so yes. Foam tires is when a thicker chassis might benefit you as grip levels can go through the roof. As traction goes up with rubber on carpet you can tune the MI3 with heavier springs and stiffer top plate options that Schumacher has if needed.

Love that chassis saw the TC5 first and made me want a TC5 (and I don't like the TC5). Definitely have to have one of these.

I agree with you Rod! I saw that TC5 chassis and it made me want one too! I would have one for sure if I did though. But I'm racing a Yokomo BD5. Eventually they will sell the lipo chassis for it. BUT, it will be wider, which sucks arse. So I probably won't switch over.
