Run as light as possible....
Holeshots are the best when the tires stay caked. They are as light as you can get. Easy on te car and easy to drive. !00% of your traction is dirt on dirt when your tires stay completely caked.
As soon as the tires start to release the dirt or are coming in less than completely caked up you need to then move away them and go to something with more of a tread. When the tires are full you will not burn the tread up so don't worry about that.
Bowties in the wet when the tire is partially caked works very well.
My thoughts:
Holeshots in sticky complete mud and bluegroove no dust conditions.
Bowties/Crimefighters in semi muddy or hard pack dusty conditions.
Small pin Calibers in dust conditions with variable surfaces.
Step Pins in Loamy or med wet dirty conditions. Lots of top silt like rodeo dirt.
