Check out this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sliCxsIZ3v4 maybe it will help to get a idea, it is a clip on how to build shock from Jilles Croskamp, Serpent are a bit different and it is a better shock, it cannot leak from the top anymore. before you screw it in you want the piston all the way in or a tab out when for more rebound, you should get the same finish product.
Good luck

I do it the same way, but instead of trying to hold the shaft in the same spot and guessing the rebound I use castor clips on the shaft so its the same all around

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but does the 733 only come in kit form, or can I find a RTR version somewhere?

Anyone knows when serpent is gonna rectify the problems we have with the excisting gas tank on the 733? I mean this is totally unacceptible, when are they gonna reinburse us with a new one? I`ve had my car for about 1 month, and i can`t even race her. Shucks i`ve even blown a throttle servo because of the problem with the gas tank.

My dealer went as far as fixing my tank using a plastic welder while I wait for the new one so I can keep running. Of course you can only get this kind of service if you bought your kit from a local dealer.

Yip two guys did that as well, but guess what happened after the fourth of fifth tank, the hinge point where the crack is, it simply snapped off. So i`m not gonna go down that route.... after all one of the guys were leading the a- main when that happened in the pits. I`m just very disappointed in serpent and there quality control panel, for letting this slip right there fingers. And not responding to it any sooner, to help us racers out, who`s in a bind.

The Serpent guys were at the worlds last week. They will be back this week and the new one is supposed to be in this week. They also will be replacing them free of charge. Need one for Nats next week myself.
