Using the brake kills the car
When i press the brakes on my car it just chokes it and dies. What do you think is causing the problem?

No, honestly. Please provide more information. What kind of car is it, brand and model. Is it a centax clutch or standard clutch. What brand/model motor is it? Does the person that built it have R/c experience?
Why am I asking? Because if you, or the person that put it together does not have that much experience, then we can begin to say its a clutch problem whereas the thrust bearing might be bad (hence why we need to know if its centax or not).

Most likely it's the carb/throttle linkage set-up. Never set idle speed with throttle trim. Make sure the carb is always closed at idle and use the idle screw to set idle speed. If that's not it, clutch problems are most likely.

your engine should not shut off even when you push your throttle all the way in check your carb settings and adjust as need..
