Looks like someone didn't change the rod after breakin was done. Its cheap insurance to buy 2 or 3 rods when you buy the engine. Is the rod journal trashed? Have a look at it under a microscope. I bet you can save the case with a thin coat of jb weld.

If the engine bearing is fine, then that rod either was not changed or the engine was being revved too long on the topend. Motor is done IMO.

hey dude, ther second needle is for small tracks it gives you better low end and the needle in there give better top end. the extra fuel nipple is just a replacement i think cause i got one with my 3SCT - Tuned

I thought the other nipple was smaller too? Maybe i'm wrong but I thought I read that on the Murnan thread. Search the Murnan thread and I think you'll find the answer. Murnan knows all!

Thats weird my only came with 1 extra fuel nipple and 2 of the little connectors that connect the linkage to the uniball, no second needle and the box was sealed.

mate no wonder the engine case cracked! lok at the gap/play in the conrod as it sits on the crank pin! you can plainly see the black part on the conrod going through the pin where the gap is!

Yes, but if the bearings were worn and loose, the crank would wobble and make the rod rub into the case at high RPM, wearing the bushing until it finally slammed the case hard enough to crack it. You can also see where the crank web face was also being rubbed by the rod.

If the bearings where good, then IMO, its just plain overrevving and not changing out the rod when needed.

Based on all the wear/damage is why I stated the engine is trash earlier.

Default GRP Plugs

Hi

I just got a Nova NS12 S3 from a mate and wondered if the GRP glow plugs will fit it?

Thanks in advance!

oh boy,this is A LOT of play...i am wonder,he couldn't here it?
too bad for this engine..
i know that the rod play can be from overrev, many litters, bearing slop and goes on.
BUT what happens if the crank make slop but not the rod???and this for a good engine...
