I'm running my TT01E brushless 23T right now, and I love it. So my next car will get a brushless motor too. Not decided yet. We will drive this winter Hope I've got a new car to drive the winter class. W"ll see

Well, I have a TA-05 ver.2 on the way...
Haven't owned a Tamiya since my Grasshopper in the mid 80's
What are the "MUST" upgrades for this car? (part numbers appreciated)
Probably run it 17.5 stock TC at first or maybe RCGT

Damn dude! How many new cars are you gonna own?! (I should talk) haha. You should of bought my TA05 so that I could of bought a Ver 2!! I would say get some axles and bones to replace the dogbones that come with the kit. But I do not have part numbers. I would also build the kit with new hex head screw kit instead of the philips head screws that come in the kit. And I would get the steering upgrade kit. I'm sure the kit steering will be sloppy as hell. Other than that, not much. If you want shocks, get some. Maybe a set of springs to tune the car. And maybe a front spool. Sorry no part numbers on that stuff yet. See, if you would of bought mine, you'd have it already! If you want to buy some spare parts like arms, do yourself a huge favor and get this kit. It has all the suspension parts you need for cheap. Plus it comes with axles, but not the bones.

I'm not sure on steering kit, because I'm not sure if Ver. 2 uses TA05 steering parts or TB03 steering parts. I'll have to check the online manual and see.

Anyways, axles and bones, aluminum servo saver adapter, steering upgrade, and maybe front spool. Shocks if you want them. And spring kit to tune with. And screws if you want life to be easier. That would be my starting setup. I would love to sell all my stuff and just run this car for fun.

I cancelled the F1, went with the V2 instead
I wanted something to play with. I am going to try to go to Debbie's at least once a month this fall/winter... set up the Phonton for 17.5 rubber tire and maybe the TA05 for RCGT I talked to Timmie about it some, maybe a group if us could carpool up there. Mapquest gave me 3 hours from the house. I called Debbie's they said they would start Sep/Oct & race TC/Oval alternating weekends

44mm or 48mm swing shafts? Do I need to get uni joints too?

Couldn't find the screw kit or the steering upgrade.

Well as I've said, I'm not sure on which kit is uses... lemme check the online instructions for the Ver. 2........ Once again, here it is..

Go to page 17 and it gives you hopups. You need TB03 steering set. Not TA05. And you need 46mm bones. Not 48mm or 44mm.

As for Debbies, I would like to go this winter as well. Once carpet season starts here at Rosewood, it'll be all oval. So since I don't race oval, I'll need somewhere to go. Every other week sounds perfect especially with my school schedule. It's a 3 hour drive one way for me as well. But it's no biggie. Been doing that for years. Lemme know when you start heading up.

The fluorine shocks are a much older model. Get the ones with the hard-black threaded bodies & blue bits...

Yes. There are also limited edition sets under different part numbers that come in all white, or all milky-blue (with small colored dots on the bottom for identification). 49389 for milky blue and 49382 for white...

The first one is for the regular old TA05. The second one is for the full carbon-fiber TA05-MS. The first kit would be better for you. Of course the hardware for the V2 may be a little different due to the new suspension mounts and motor mount. Don't be too dissapointed if your short a few needed hex screws...

Of course you can always contact that screw company and send them the link to the V2 manual. They put together a screw kit for the new car at your request. After all, they'll need to put one together eventually right?
