I done the same to mine with the exotek chassis, it significantly helped the car to be more planted on the track.

Cheers

Yes, both cars have the exact same suspension, so it's all interchangeable...

I see there is a new Gold Edition TA05 v2 on its way... does anyone with some insight into Tamiya Japan know whether that means they are unhappy with the TA06? It just seems a little odd to me that a new edition of the old chassis has been released with race specs (rather than drift).

Looks like they replaced the blue alu with gold lolol

Dont know why Tamiya is bringing this out since its an old chassis maybe the ver2 is awesome hahaha
Could be a drift version since the shocks are in the upright position instead of IFS

Hope they bring out the gold parts seperately hehe

Tamiya is lighter and seals better.

No trick really. Mine went on without any problems.

I wanted to add also. I'm really having fun running this car. I ran it at Snowbirds last week. Drove very well and didn't require many setup changes from where I started. Very predictable and stable all week.

BTW, I ran open mod with the stock Ver. II R plastic kit, stock tub and all. I used a shorty pack and mounted the ESC behind it on the right side for balance. Still a little heavy but 50/50 L-R with some lead on the outside of the right. Used stand up front shocks so settings would make sense between the sheets I had and the car.

I started with Jilles' setup from Snowbirds last year for the 417. I made a few small changes and the car was very good. Might have been fast enough to make the A but my lack of practice this past year didn't help.

Its just that the instructions call for the end to be screwed into the arm. The arm on my car doesn't have any way for the screw to go into. the balls that are in the arm are to small for the rods to pop into, which is what I thought they were for but they just to small.

Btw thanks for the info on the diffs.
