Default RC Heli or RC Truck?

I have been trying to learn how to fly a rc Heli for about a year and just don’t have the time to put into it or anyone in the area that I can find to help me learn, so I get it going and fly for 5 min and crash. This is not only getting frustrating it is getting expensive. I have been looking into the rc trucks thinking they would be a little more what I would like being the time I have to put towards it. So my question is does anyone fly hlis and run cars? Which do you prefer? Would I regret selling the heli and getting a truck? Because unfortunately I only have the money for one.

If I do get a Truck I have been Looking at the Savage XL 5.9, Is the a good choice? Are there any other I should Look at?

Thanks

I fly Heli and race truggy and buggys and on road. I still have not yet learn perfect how to fly the heli but I will. With cars you can run them anywhere and the worse that could happen you hit a something and break things but in a heli once it crashes you break alot of things. So I say go with a Truggy if you like monster truck because you can race it if you want to and still take to the park and play with it there..

You need a flight sim. Learning to fly without one is a waste of money. yeah the flight sim is expensive, but will save you in the long run.

I have been flying helis for years and just seriously gotten into cars. I really enjoy them both but if I had to choose between them I'd keep the helis. I guess I like the challenge.

BTW,where are you at? There are heli fliers everywhere.

what sim? i tought myself how to fly 15 years ago, i was doing auto's and basic 3d before i found anyone around me to help. we didn't have sims back then, well the "dave brown sim" and it worked on my 386... check around for other hobby stores for any heli pilots or go to www.runryder.com . or http://pilotlocator.net/home.php what heli do you have? stick with the heli, you will find great satisfaction when you can fly.

flown many of them, good flying. i'm a nitro guy personally, had a trex 405se with the g4 frame conversion. too small, i prefer 90 size, but i'm waiting for the N5 because 50's are cheaper to fly. ware are you at?
