grp plugs and old ninja plugs are the same. os plugs never worked for me or a few others i know who tryed them. the 97t work if u make sure they are really tight. i would just get the num5 ninja plugs work perfect. only used one plug all year last year so they last. i raced every sat and ever other sunday and one practice day during the week so yea plugs last forever

the old ninja/grp plugs both com in a plastic case. the new nina/os plugs come in a paper package like other os plugs. i run ninja/grp plugs only and have great luck with them. i run the 053 and 1005 pipes. the 053 is a great pipe for this engine, good power everywhere. the 1005 pipe is decent on the bottom, but insane mid-top, and its fun to run people down on the straight with it. the 053 pipe gets a little better runtime.

Yes the GRP NINJA 2053 pipe is good. I use the OS p3 and only get about 4-5 weekends out of it. I will try the ninja #5 also. Motor is great. I want to try a smaller restricter,I have an 8 now and I get just under 8mins.Nitro house has piston/sleeve but cost a fortune. I had mine pinched 3 gallons ago

I run the O'Donnell's 97t plugs and my ninja runs great with them.

anyane have any opinions on shimming the head? i was reading the old GRP ninja thread and that was something people were having issues with. Is this a problem that was fixed with the B01A?

steve,
I think they did adjust that in the BO1A. I have 2 of them and have not had to reshim anything. I ran mine on a big track last weekend and had plenty of power for all the jumps and the 200ft straight, with temps only reaching around 230. I was running the 7.5 restrictor, a p-7 plug and a jp-3, and was pitting at 7 1/2 min. Love the motors so far and will be trying the 053 pipe real soon.

heck you got me???? I think the 053 might have better bottom end but not sure. I will try it and see. I have tried the jp-6 and did not like it at all on this motor, switched back to the jp-3 and it felt good.

I will be at the pack on the 2nd, and we can try a few and see what works the best.

ive got this engine apart, and it seems like someone had stuck a regular style glow plug in there. the top of the head has a hex shape rammed into it. i am assuming this isnt normal. i put the turbo plug in and the hex on that doesnt even get close to touching. nothing looks ruined, should i be worried about this?

im not sure which pipes you guys are talking about, dynamite and ofna both offer 053 and 063 pipes. dynamite considers the 053 a midrange and the 063 a low range pipe. ofna calls the 053 a lowend and the 063 a midend pipe. for all i know they are the same but this is what i read on their websites.

Steve, i hope that wasnt the new motor you picked up? Im not sure but i would think that the indention in the top of the piston would affect the compression a little would it not? Just a thought, but you might want to have it checked.

Hey Crews, you and the guys need to get up to Thundervalley this sat. and let those motors unwind. You guys will love the track, its just as good as the pack with just a little longer straight away, 200'. So come on out and get the cars tuned in for the points race at the pack next weekend.

Original parts are hard to get and expencive. GRP tuned parts should do the trick, falcon/grp as well.

But my question:
Anyone know the factory settings on the MR Ninja B01A, should in theory be quite similar to the GRP tuned.
No guesses, please!
