Default AE Hinge Pins

Anybody know the part number for these? The new hardened, polished set from AE.

I wasn't aware that AE released any new hinge pins.

Oh, are they made of the same material, just polished? Why dont you just polish your stock ones? That's why I do, same with the balls.

Ariel, I just got all the stuff for my TC3 when you wanna beat me? How about at the Pre-Worlds?

Hi guys,

Can you please tell me if making the motor cooling opening larger affect the ridigity of the chassis so much that it will affect the handling??

Cheers

The hinge pins are made of a different material, they are made with the same material that is used in the HD one way bearing's pins. I have used them for almost a year now and haven't bent one yet. And none of that slightly bent crap were your car feels tweaked but you cannot tell til a month later and you realize it was slightly bent the whole time.

Opening up the motor doesnt affect the stiffness at all. When I first did the mods to my TC3. I clamped down 2 opposing corners of the chassis and lifted up on one corner with a spring scale like for fishing but it was a gram scale. I cant remember the numbers but even after doing the battery mod and the motor mods It was almost nothing. Most of the chassis flex is at the ends I think. A top brace will make a modded chassis much stiffer than the stock one ever could be. The warpspeed brace fits the regular chassis with no mods. There are others out there but I dont know who makes them.

Default Solid Front Axle...

What does everyone use for a Solid Front Axle (Spool) on their Electric TC3?

I know there is an IRS one, and an AE one, part # 1703, but no one seems to have the AE one, does it even exist? Has anyone ever seen it. The Nitro one is part #1704.

Thanks....Have to get ready for the Reedy Race....

Wolfe!
You're back!
Personally, I dislike the IRS spool. The aluminum has legevity issues.
