It took me a long time to decide, because of the cost! painful for my pocket! But once you see the box from UPS and the Chassis kit inside! Its well worth every penny, cenatovos, peso!

IRS Chassis Kit for the TC3 is a work of art. But the only thing you gain from getting it is the Bling bling.

i have purchased a tc3 used and plan on running some touring car races, i have raced oval car for the past 14 years and thought i give this a try for a challange and to make more good friends. i have read the first like twenty pages of the thread and took in alot info on these cars. but to help me out , to keep from having to read the other 200plus pages can i get some help on some info. like

what is the formula to get roll out on a tc3 , and what is a good roll out to use.

are they any programs as for setup , gearing, etc that i can d/l for a laptop.

i have seen somewhere on the net ,, a place where it would make a gear chart for your car your running ,, can some one give me a link to that site.

also i would like to say thanks in advance to every or anyone that helps me.

Heya Don! I just bought my TC3 also and have been practicing up at HW. 3 of my buddies that used to run Oval up there and at Regency have started back as well as another friend has a TC3 on order now. Looks like some fun racing soon!

As for rollout i dont know how to calculate it but i think it is how many times the motor spins for every one rotation of the tire.

Proficar: Tower Hobbies has the double pink/orange, but they are in limited quantity. The order i just made last week came to me in two separate packages, one from one of their distributing houses and one from the other. As usual, tires are in short supply when it comes time for the Birds. Have you picked any brushes up for your 19T motor yet? Pick up some of Putnams X-Brushes! I think you will find them to be to your liking.

Has anyone talked in detail about foam tire size on this forum? I refuse to go back 200 pages to look! It would be a great discussion for those that spend alot of time on foams. Tire size affects alot of things when it comes to setting your car up. (droop, camber rod location, etc) Last year, the popular tire size at the Birds seemed to hover around 2.23". What do you guys think?

58-57mm for Tire Diameter for the Birds.

I will go down there with about 4 Sets at 60mm and run them in Practice and then after the final Practice I will cut them down to 58mm and adjust my setup from there.

Last year I changed my setup after almost every qualifier. As the quals go on the traction keeps getting more and more so you have to make changes. Luckily Baker was very nice and helped me out with Setup. Last year I was running my Tires at about 59-60mm during the quals and he told me to take all my tires down to 57mm. I was losing about 1mm of Tire wear after each run.

As far as brushes, I bought a bunch of 4383 (trinity). I have not ever tried the x-brush. I will try to get a hold of some.
Tires...eerg...I'm working on it. It seems as if fate is not allowing me to save money as far as brushes and tires.

Tire size...I think am going to cut all my sets down to like 58-59. That is where I am getting pretty good runs this season. There is definitely a noticeable advantage when using lower tires, a very expensive and aggravating advantage .

Sucks having to cut 6-7mm off a pair of $20 Tires to use them for 3-4 Runs .

If you don't do it though your car will probably Traction Roll because of the sidewall on the tire.

sounds good man, i ran oval at the concrete track for years until it closed down.. looks to be building up to a good year of racing at hobby world. man i really wish something was closer to home.

for foam tires with the TRC 30 mm ones I cut them down to 2.350 to get a little more life out of them. the rim is a little bigger so 2.230 leave very little run time on these tires.
