I ran it once in racing conditions. I thought it helped a lot.

I am running the slightly heavier 3300's though and I have them mm's from the shaft.

Seems to make the car transition quicker from side to side.

Default I have run mine as well

Mine is cut very similar to the ones posted in this forum. Cut to about the center of the x in the center brace. I am also running 3300, and a spool. With the spool, you need to control how much you let off around the turns on the un-modified chassis. With the modified chassis, it seems to be more forgiving. To the point I find it very hard to spin out int he corners with the modified chassis. With the original chassis and the spool the car could easily be made to spin out in the corners.

I like it and am going to finally cut my graphite chassis.

I also run a spool.

It was hooked up this weekend. Ran the rear tower up front, Shocks in the outer hole and the original arms, so they were almost vertical.

I also ran Losi 1 deg rear hub carriers (turned to the negative) with the R+2+2 block. So a total of 1 deg rear toe per side.

The car had plenty of steering with this setup. I can post the whole thing if you want later.

We have a new parking lot with better traction and smoother. Think I'm gonna try sway bars.

Default hey dingus

I have my shocks in the center hole with the rear towers. I tried the new arms in this config with the shock in the outer hole on the arms. Did the lower spring retainer seem to bind on the c hub carriers for you? I have not been able to use the new outer hole on the new arms.

I have heard of that problem. I actually still haven't bought the new arms. To get ride height, I just cut 2 or 3 mm's off the shock eyelet(?) to get the retainer clip to sit lower.

wow people are using the real tc3 thread again! lol

i have tried the spool with the rear tower up front once and didnt really dislike it or like it i can tell it takes some getting used to and needs to be set up right for it to work but i think i will try it again in a few weeks. i want to see how it will work this time with my moded chassis. what springs and oil are you guys running with it in stock carpet with foams. and also what about roll centers? thanks for any info.

I've develpoed a tast for a LOT of steering so that explains my somewhat unususal droop settings. My starting setup was from the Euro Champs, Juho Levanen winning setup. We have a new track opening that looks to be higher grip, si I think I'm gonna experiment with less droop and sway bars. Even on the low grip bumpy asphault I could hear the body slightly rub on the ground and see it scuffs on the top of the wheel wells in the front.

Also, I really like the less twitchy feeling of the softer setups.

Hi guys. Greetings from Malta.

DINGUS.

I set my son's TC3 up very soft, with plenty of travel and droop, and it seems to work.

He has won all seven rounds of the National championship to date, so it can't be bad. It is very forgiving, especially riding kerbs. The soft springing and damping (40 oil) allows quick weight transfer. I have the same arrangement on my MR4 Sp except that i have put the roll bars on minewhiulst he prefers the TC3 without them on our track. I run stock. Josh runs mod.

Looking at Levanen's set up I see he's running 30 oil all round, long top arms etc. Barry Baker was fairly similar at the worlds, and Drescher too is going for softer set ups. It looks like the softer set up is the way to go these days.

Regards

Joe from sunny Malta.
