are you willing to sell me that part?
I can get you a black one, I would prefer to sell it as part of a parts group though, I would imagine you want to do the whole chassis black. PM me if you are interested

i currently am running the tamiya aluminum motor mounts part #54166 and i would like to be able to raise my rear height more than i can currently get. Will the aluminum motor mounts off the f104ver 2 part #54356 allow me to get more ride height in the rear or is it essentially the same as the version 1 rear aluminum motor mounts????
thanks

The V2 is pretty much a whole new car, I am fairly positive the rear pod cannot be retrofitted to the old chassis

If you're really set on getting more ride height out of the 104 rear (running foams or something?) the 103 mounts will get that done and bolt right on.

No, running rubber but possible looking for more ride height. Would like to get the 3racing aluminum rear mount kit that comes for f103 with a fan but it appears everyone in the states is out of stock, so I guess I have to order from Japan or hong kong
Thanks

I do have a good experience with Square X1/F103 alu motor mount ... http://rcmarket.com.hk/product_info....ducts_id=12717
It works well even with small dia F103 tires (about 4mm more ride height than Tamiya F104 motor mount) but it is quite expensive...

Sorry to hijack this thread but if anybody is interested i am selling my F104 with parts enough to build maybe 2 cars. Comes with plenty of hop ups both, used and NIB. Please PM me for pictures, I will get them up in the selling soon.

The 575's have a reputation for a soft sidewall. Smoothing out the edge of the rim will probably help, but maybe try switching to the 572. Although listed as "hard", most people seem to think this applies to the sidewall, since the grip levels appear the same.

Phil.

All true, the "hard" listing is definitely throwing guys off.
The 572's will also chew thru the sidewalls but not quite as quickly so you will want to kill the sharp edge on the outside of the rim for these also.

When installing the spur gear adapter for a F104 diff I noticed that the adapter itself is thicker than the spur gear. This causes a slight amount of wooble in the spur gear. Should I sand the adapter down to the same thickness as the spur gear or should I just leave it the way it is?
