Broke my "High Traction T-Plate" last wked and haven't been able to get it replaced in time for this wked's meeting. So;

Has anyone noticed the differences between the three T-Pates on offer?
The "Kit" T-Plate has a black finish,
The "Soft" T-Plate clear, no finish,
The "High Traction" T-Plate is clear and with a U-shaped slot cut around the tension screw adjustment.
All seem to be made of the same fibreglass material & the same thickness.

So one could just get a Kit T-Plate and dremel out the U slot to convert it to the High Traction Plate, yes?

Any thoughts?

Its either this thread or the 1/10 R/C F1's...Pics, Discussions, Whatever thread that has some good links to youtube video that give handy building tips, prob a couple of pages back I think

I take it you have the f60 chassis so its not the carbon fibre chassis, if you have apparently its still a very good chassis, I'm building my f60 up now

If the f60 chassis is the mcclaren f1 than yeah it's not carbon besides like 2 pieces. I'm hoping to have this up and running in a few days. I'm putting a trinity duo brushless motor with an lrp esc on it with a high tourq digital servo. Should be fun

Has anyone used a mini lipo? I'm interested because of the small size/weight

These are the ones I'm talking about:

I ran one with the exotek for about 2 weeks, the car was just to light and unpredictable. I thought I had it centered as good as it would get but with such little weight that car would just drift from center on the straights, every corner was a challenge cause the car would do something different each time like no traction turning left, and traction rolling to the right. sometimes the rear was loose, sometimes the front was loose.

Once i put in a normal size LiPo I started driving like I was with my HPI and actually driving good. I was all over the road with the mini lipo

Hi traction = good

Low traction = bad

The advantage is you can add weight back to the car, where you want it. Just remember that little battery is about 100g lighter than anything else, and 150-200g lighter than the average 5000 pack

Default F1 PAINTLAB STORE IS LIVE!!!!!!

My last post inspired me to get something going since time is money and the clock never stops ticking.
The store is now open here
http://www.f1paintlab.com/Site/PAINT...LAB_STORE.html
I should be adding stuff daily, and the more you buy, the more I will stock.
My goal with this is to have anything F1 that you would want on hand and ready to ship.
I will be making lots of announcements in the coming weeks.
Check it out and let me know what you think.
Thanks
