Foam tires would be my first suggestion.

A long time ago I bought a Chevron Models T-Cam for the top of my F1 car... since then, they have been completely out of stock and I can't find one anywhere...

So I decided to make my own...

they are made of black plastic, and they have to be Glued, epoxied, drill tapped and screwed to the Airbox of your F1 car, but I think that anyone who is trying to make their car look good might want to take a look... as with the one from Chevron, in a severe tumble it may be prone to breakage, but since F1 cars rarely end up on their lids, I think we might be safe....

these are rapid-prototyped and based on the 2010 season T-Cam...

and they are available in different materials, but I would suggest the "black strong and flexible"

Hope you like

from mike: All testing has been done on Asphalt. Right from the first battery It was remarkable the improvement over the stock chassis /soft t-plate. Very smooth rear end, less tire chatter, more cornerspeed and just hooked up. I'm testing with boosted ESC and the car has no problems keeping things under control

question: Mike, what tires were you using when you did the test?

anybody still run foams on this car?

if so what tires do you run?

has anybody tried the spice tires?

I don't understand how rubber tires are cheaper than foam tires. Rubber last way longer and don't chunk. I want to try the spice, but i would be pretty upset if they didn't work as well as they say.

Default TRG ROLL DAMPER

Also just wanted to let you guys know that I tried the TRG roll damper and it seemed to work well. I had the fastest lap of the day and won the race. It definitely didn't slow the car down. The car had so much rear grip that it was hopping around the corners. This was used with tamiya option rear rubber tires and the kit fronts.

IMO roll dampers, t-bar tweaks etc will make some difference here and there over stock but I think the exotek chassis will be waaay superior to all of these mods put together. I 've been messing & racing with mini-z's for a long time, the plate/damper design of which are remarkably similar to F104 EXCEPT that it is much more refined than stock F104 and works so much better because of certain nuances not present on f104. If you compared the 2 side by side you will clearly see the shortcoming of the F104 stock design. from just looking at the design exotek should be the performance king compared to any mods to stock.

o, i totally agree. i cant wait to get that car. i already ordered one. i have had the roll damper for about a month or so, but didnt race it until last weekend, so i just wanted to let people know about it. ill probably leave the damper on my rubber 104, and run the exotek on my foam 104. it really is about time someone made a link f1 car. i know corally made 1, but that was a cheater car

What is the definition of a cheater car, where is the line drawn?

I beleive that any car using 10th pan car tires is perceived as a "cheater" car.....
