Hey are you the guy from PinionsandSpurs.com? If so your blog is cool, keep it up.

We use sticky vinyl for ours - is cheap, looks very professional, sticks well and doesnt come off, but if it does you can just apply more. Such an example can be found here.

i've used the tamiya TS paints for the wings and very happy with how they turn out.

here is a Lotus T127 I did with painted wings.

of course, I think vinyl decal's are great as the paint will no doubt chip if used for racing. I have found a suppllier in the uk on ebay that has a great range of colours and they are really good quality.

I'm currently doing some more wings for another car, so when finished will post some pic's.

Lexan paint works fine since it has a flex additive and it also "bites" into the plastic more. I painted my Ferrari front wing and so far so good.

Cant wait to see that. I recently switched to a TA05 and am currently running a spool up-front indoors. Even with 3 deg rear toe, shims under the upper camber link at the rear to raise the roll centre and a black rollbar up front only I cant seem to calm the rear end down. I'm running blue springs up front and yellows at the rear (reds dont seem to work, seem too soft) - any thoughts on how I can improve this setup please? Theres a load of setups here but these all seem to be for the opposite problem, not enough steering.

I used to paint my front wings but I just could not find a paint that stuck. Vinyl comes in so many colors and the big advantage is, it can be re-applied if it looks beaten up.

How do you get rid of the spur gear play between the diff halves? It's wobbling when accelerating and i'm pretty sure its assembled correctly.

Or is it not much of a problem?

It's not really a problem and perfectly normal. Well, that's the case with the Tamiya spurs. If you used a thinner one, it would wobble more, but unless it's extreme, it's not to worry about.

Quick question:I'm torn between 3racing 109 & F104 pro,really leaning to the pro because tamyia has been doing the F1 thing for quite some and would think more R&D,any help on this? The track is carpet.
