Welcome speed,

good to have you aboard.

I am currently working on locking on a loader from Camp Kinser to help load the SeaBee's dump trucks.

If you have any input or P.O.C's on Kinser, Please let me know.

All,

if you are going to be on site this weekend or Fri can you please remind the seabee's to leave a "buffer" along the edges.

this buffer will be the existing ground cover that will help with runoff mitigation.

I believe the original plan was to leave a 10ft buffer, if this can be or needs to be reduced to 5 feet go for it,

I just want to make sure we take the propper steps to reduce the runoff issues as much as possible to ensure no one can stop by and try to shut us down...

THE SEABEES CLEARED THE AREA!!!

Meet at the track on the 24th 900 for layout, bring tapemeasures, sticks, flags, rope or what ever you got for laying out the tracks.

The dirt that is there is great dirt, they could build the track with it. they will bring back the asphalt next week.

They left at least 10' from the road and parking lot for drainage buffer.

My plan is to layout where the two big tracks will be (worry about the crawler and kiddie track later) and mark where they need to add dirt for jumps and burms and a dirt stock pile, possibly where the conex will go.

We are going with Paulie's design on page 6, we may have to modify with the amount of lane tube we got so far. Iggy also has the 1/10 track plan..which will need about 600' of tubing. I will be bringing what I can in my van up tomorrow too.

If you got a 5b, bring that too...

BE THERE! I want a prerun on Veterans Day!

AWESOME! I'll be there on the 24th.

One thing about this statement though Jon...

We shouldn't let the amount of lane tubing we have dictate the track design. We can always get more tubing, or come up with another way to define the lanes...

Just my 2 cents (even though it's only worth about half a Yen)

Right Paulie, but so far Jason and myself are the only guys that made an effort getting tubing (for free and paying for it). IF we can get more tubing that would be great, but where?

I would prefer to use the tubing and not pvc pipe for two reasons of experience...the ends of pvc are dangerous at high speed and pvc can't handle 5b impacts...

we'll see how it goes...

get up you lazy dog, beauty sleep ain't gonna help...

I'm up, I'm up...

If everyone chips in the $$$ they said they would, I'm sure we'll be able to get the tubing. I don't want to use PVC pipe either (never mentioned that I wanted to use that so I'm not sure where that statement came from).

Either way though, no matter what, I still think we should lay out the track as planned, and worry about the actual materials list later.

We marked off the perimeter 125'x75' of the large track with flags. There still is some asphalt around the area of the large track and where parking area will be and also some sandy, coral spots that need dirt. emailed the seabees to see what the daily dump truck runs will bring.

Still will need more tube than we have so get out and look for some, it is not something you can just go out and buy, it's about 300 yen a meter IF YOU CAN FIND IT!!

The drainage is excellent, lotsa rain with less than two dozen puddles.

I spoke with the SeaBees today. They are going to try and flatten the site out a little more to help with drainage.

They are not going to get the dirt from Kinser. They are going through a different command and getting it from somewhere else. Good news is that can can haul it during the day because of that. Bad news is that it will probably contain rocks just like the stuff at Kinser so we'll have to rake when it's all said and done. They told me they will start hauling tomorrow.

I should be on site tommorow in the afternoon to see how it goes...

$$$ if you want to put up money just go buy some stakes at makeman, kanehide or sakumoto, they are about 130 yen each about 12 inches long. We will need about 200-300.$$$$

thanks,

2 dump trucks full of dirt were dropped and spread today. If they can get more from the same place they are gonna run 2-4 more tomorrow.
