Hey Robert, Let me know what you need from me, have shovel in hand and ready to go. Have about 80 days on the books as well so just looking for an excuse to take a few days off.
Will be in Hawaii from 16-18 but anytime before or after let me know and I will see what I can do...

Rodriguez,
Welcome, Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, there are some incredibly knowledgeable people on here.
All,
There were some great developments on the track and the way ahead today.
I met with Environmental, we did a site survey, he see's NO issues and is very supportive. he will be doing his part to assist us with expediting this.
(base environmental will do their historical search and ensure there are no other issues)
I talked with the SeaBee's, They have submitted their work order and will be moving the vehicles (grader, dump trucks, etc) up here to stage within the next week. They also have a pile of dirt from white beach they need to get moved ASAP... (withing the next two weeks).
I connected the SeaBee's with Environmental so they can address any issues directly.
The ISO, Camp Services will sign for the ISO and add it to their acct, no worries, either directly from DRMO or from the unit that picks it up...
Camp Services is going to submit a request for a RollOff to be dropped at the site so that we can place the ground cover in it after it is removed.
There will be no requirement for us to have the ground cover removed prior to track construction. we can pile it in the corner if need be (environmental's suggestion).
I will keep you all up to date with any additional developments.
Hope this helps.

Anybody have any good suggestions for a beginner car that is at a resonable price? I was looking at these four:
HPI Nitro Firestorm RTR 1/10 Nitro Truck
Kyosho DST 1/10th 4WD Nitro Off Road Ready Set Truck w/ GXR18 Engine HPI E-Firestorm RTR w/DSX-2 Truck Body 1/10 Electric Truck,
Thunder Tiger Sparrowhawk XB 1/10th 4WD Off-Road Buggy RTR
Like I said earlier I'm new to this so any advise would be great.
If you need help with the track, you have an able body right here. Just let me know.

Heya,
I'll try to help out if anything gets set before I leave the 17th. Other than that Slash bash at my house on Saturday AM and Kubasaki's track open from 10:15-2 till Friday.
Rod- I have a HPI RS4, but 2wd, similar to the HPI firestorm, RTR for $100. If you're looking for fun-get a Slash, at least six guys have one now, can't go wrong for $200 on that. If you have more money to spend, go for a Caster RTR Fusion brushless for about $500....if you have more get a HPI baja 5b or if you can't make up you mind, get em all!

Roger,
Made some great headway today with the ISO...
I spoke with my contact and he was all for it! We can figure how to sign it over to Camp Services at a later time...right now I just want to secure it.
When I go Wednesday to pick up my file cabinets, I'll see what ISO's they have, and secure one then. When I was there 2 weeks ago, there was a selection to choose from....20 footer, 40 footer, etc.
Do we have an idea of what size you'd like me to get provided I have several to choose from?
Once its secured, I'll have DRMO hold it until we can arrange pick up, which I'll need help with since I don't have the resources for that.
Sound like a plan? Robert, can you think of a good estimate date for pick up? My going in plan is to move it once the SeaBeas are done, so they don't have to work around it. Whaddya think?

Paulie,
Great news,
I do not have a prefference for the ISO,
I can see the utility behind a 40' ISO in many ways, but I will let the others voice their opinions,
I would say the pick up date would be NLT the 1st week in July, probably sooner than that, but definately not later.

Ok folks, I secured us a Connex. The pickens were VERY slim for something that actually meets our requirements, but I got very lucky and got the best of the lot.
There were actually 2 of them, but one of them is missing a door, and the roof wasn't as nice as the one I secured.
There's a catch though. If someone secures the other Connex and goes to pick it up BEFORE we get ours, it's a possibility they will give ours away first since it's in way better condition. This happened today with my file cabinets. They literally gave them to someone else, even though I put a freeze on them. I ended up getting them back in the end, but it'll be MUCH harder to do with something as large as this Connex.
Bottom line, we need to have this thing picked up STAT, so there is no chance of it getting taken from under us.
Here's what I got us:
It's just about perfect. It's in great shape, and already has lockers in side labled "Flammable" that we can store fuel in, etc. The roof is perfectly flat, so it'll be a great base to use as a floor to build upon for our drivers stand.
Fellas, if any of you have any pull with vehicle ops, we need to get a tractor-trailer and pick this up ASAP. Can anyone help with this? I was able to secure it, but it'll be hard-pressed to get the transportation piece to Courtney past my leadership.
The longer we wait, the more chance someone may take it from us.
Please let me know...

Great news about the connex,
Any updates from the meeting last night?
Rodriguez, don't listen to all those electric guys, they will try and fill your head with nonsence... Hayden has a decent 1/8 Ofna LX buggy for sale. Has a force .26 in it and it runs great. I think he wanted $100 for it? Give me a pm if your interested and i'll get the specs/price for you. BTW, i was just kidding about the electric guys. If you plan on running in a residential area I would consider electric. All in all, RC is awesome no matter what way you go.

Robert,
Any updates?
Do you think it's possible to secure transportation of the connex? I haven't heard from anyone yet, and I don't want to loose it. They don't normally have them in such good a shape.

Paulie,
I am working with the Motor T Chief from one of the units to see if we can't get it moved ASAP,
He is looking at what options are available and when they can move it.
I am hoping to have something mon or tues.

I fixed it (post edited).
Thanks for the news on the transportation piece. I belive I still actually have to sign for it and turn the paperwork in to DRMO but that takes all of 20 seconds. It's already pre-filled out and signed - Just have to drop it off.
I'm doing inspections next week on some of my units but if you give me a time I'll try and break away to meet the driver at Kinser. If not, I can call my contact at Kinser and give him a heads up, then after work give you the paperwork to give to the driver they should be good to go.
Just let me know...

Josh,
I'm not interested because I already have two of them, but what is your price?
