Default Thanks for the reply "dan_vector"

I tried 3 sensor wires, all of them tested with other ESCs. Also tested them for continuity with a multimeter.

I re-did the transmitter calibration several times (at least 10 times), always the same result.

I asked here, because I was ran out of ideas to test.

Thanks again.

Gday all,

Quick question.

Has anyone experienced a Reventon Pro cutting out i.e. turning off landing jumps??

I tried a new Sensor wire, checked connection and solder, with no success.

Im going to resolder the terminals check the capacitor, pull the lower housing off and give it a good clean.

Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution.

I had it occur once per race, usually from jumping.

Thanks

Sounds like a dry joint somewhere. I know some early ESC's had soldering issues from previous posts. Is it an orginal Reventon Pro, was it purchased near release?

If it still does it after checking all the external solder joints and receiver connections it maybe worth eyeing up the mainboard soldering or asking SP if they are able to exchange it.

using the HW 2 in 1 pro LCD box FW is HW v1.08_120504
esc fw is V3.0_120428STOCK
I would start by having the SP software on your PC and FW on the card. Are you using the Hobbywing card for other HW ESCs also?

Sounds like a bad solder connection maybe. Did you check if your capacitor came loose and or what servo are you running? Some drivers, depending on their electronics, were running external BECs due to brown outs.

No specific date. The V4 modified motors will mostly likely be for sale first.

Yeah im going to examine the lower PCB in the ESC clean it resolder my main connections check capacitor and add a novak glitch buster I have.

I run a Savox 1258 but I have never had issues with brown outs since going away from spektrum receivers and now using HobbyKing Orange Rx ones.

Thanks for the suggestions hopefully it fixes it

I have the Reventon Pro 1.1 EX. Am I going to need to install a battery pack on my receiver running 1S 1/12 scale? Everything seems to work ok without one at the moment.

The EX version of the Reventon Pro 1.1 is designed for 1 cell. It has a built in booster for the radio. Just update the firmware to the latest version and run it. It works fantastic in 1/12th scale.

Anyone know a phone number to call Speed Power RC in Chicago(SP US warehouse)? I sent in a broken Reventon Pro. Was promised a replacement via the chat on the site, but that was a week ago. Emails go responded to.

You do not need to. As stated the EX was designed with 1s racing in mind. It will work fine without one in your 1/12. Many use it in 1/10 also because they like the black color
