Default Running brushless motor without load.

Adam.. I have just purchased speed passion brushless analysis tool. and when I wanted to run the motor checker function. the motor was connected without any load and running at full speed for few seconds during the test.

Some say that it is not recommended to put full throttle on the brushless motor and let it run for few seconds, it will damage the brushless motor.

what is your comment on this?

Thank you

I have never personally damaged any motors using the brushless analysis tool, and I have run some motors over 3-4 minutes at a time.

I have read and I have been taught the same message about keeping "some" sort of load on it, which I do try to whenever I use the brushless analysis, or even my vehicle.

So I would make a conscience effort to follow that rule to make sure that your ESC and motors last as long as they can.

Adam, Shawn Thanks for all the help you guys sent to Toni for the Reedy Race. She has been real busy getting ready for exams in A-School. 3)B+'s and 2) A's on the exam the day after returning from the race. She finished dead last in 13.5 and had a blast. Charlie B helped her finish up her esc setup and get her car ready for race. She would have typed this herself but she is a Slacker. . I'll have her try and call during the week .

Do you carry the gear to update the ESC to the track? If you come to CC and you don't mind can you do mine? I can't seem to find the motor checker to hook it all up.

Cheers.

Just use the LCD program card and connect it to the PC.

You need the lcd programmer and a pc to check, change and update the esc firmware.
