Default 950-R Front End Upgrade Kit

Just got my 950-R Front End Upgrade Kit (#902103) and I know that I have to drill some new holes in my standard 950 chassis and was told that the upgrade kit would come with an easy to use template... well my upgrade kit did not come with a template and the only way of knowing where to drill the holes is by the small 3/4 view schematic which does not give a precise location of where to drill. I'm sure I could do it without a template, but i'm afraid I may drill half a millimeter off or something of that sort.

I looked on MyTSN.com for a downloadable template that I could print out, but I couldn't find one.

Any advice?

Thanks

I just sent an e-mail to [email protected] and it was returned to me as undeliverable, I sent a second one and the same thing happened.

Is there another e-mail address I can contact?

I just mocked everything up before drilling and noticed that not only will I have to drill the holes, but I will have to countersink the holes as well! Ahhh, I wasn't expecting all of this.

Mabye I should just buy the new 950-R chassis and keep my standard 950 chassis as a spare? What does everyone think?

Ken- I'll take some new pictures and post them once i'm done with the conversion.

Lightbulb no holes

Those are not a must. If you think it will bring extra strenght you can do it but Rob Kuiper didn't drilled those holes like he suggested to me. I don't have them and I use the old chassis. The front end really looks superb, easy to work on and easy to setup even the wheelbaseadjustment.

Only one thing occured when I build the upgradekit. When you thighten the screw on the radioplate for the servosaver the saver got stuck. I reassembled the servosaver several times but stil got a problem with it.
It can be smoother but when I thighten the screw it's stuck again.

Wanted to post pictures of it but seemed to have failed
