i can relate to this question, b/c i too, for the moment, stand in grave hypocrisy, when it comes to rc, as i have yet to fully and honestly practice what i know to be true, which is that you have to use moderation and discipline in all aspects of your life. so with that in mind, odds are, if you are experiencing relationship or financial problems, in an otherwise healthy environment, you are in fact spending way too much money and time in rc. easier said than done, however, you have to put things in their proper perspective and prioritize accordingly: checking, savings, house, retirement, investments, education, relationships, your [real] automobile, food, clothing, job, business, health, hygiene, and all other obligations, should come way before rc or any hobby. so, it appears that if you really take care of business, you won't have much time or money for rc. it's mind blowing, but the ugly truth is that, the majority of us cannot afford to run, let alone race rc, as most of us are shining examples of that grim reality

Thumbs up

If i sucked at R/c i would spend less time on it. I have passion for it so that tells me i should invest in it. My chick i think understands that. You must balance the gives and the takes wisely.

It's half the challenge of keeping your mind right for buggy battle !

If I didn't tweek on RC'S then my thoughts would ALL be about sex!!
She gets enough of that to satisfy her needs, but mine?????????????????????It's never enough!
If she thought I was lying in bed thinking of the next thing I could do to her chassis or suspension she might just go out and buy me a new RC car..
hey thats a good idea...

If she thinks your hobbies are lame then you should go call her up to the bed room about an hour before you take off to the track. Then make it so rough that she passes out & wallah, you are free for the afternoon.

In response to that party wagon I can't wait to go to practice this week. In reality the way we get along is that old budget plan, she gets a certain amount of money to spend on her hobbies (window shopping randomly) and I get mine,
Much prayer on my end and receipt hidding

If your running on a budget then run on a budget. There are plenty of ways to compete in this hobby for a whole lot less then the guy next to you. I buy used stuff all the time because it is just as good as the new stuff and half the price.

Hey, I understand been buying used stuff for a while now, that's the way to go. As long as the person your buying from is trustworthy then its almost better than wasting the gas to go to lhs 45 min away.

if she is complaining, you should be leaving her. r/c is a way of life, and the wife needs to understand i need to get racing!!!! i do all the things she likes me to do with her also, the relationship works...thats it!!! just make it work!!!
