How much budget are we working with here....you need a Brushless ESC\Motor, LiPo battery & a LiPo charger

At that price, Castle Creations Sidewinder 4600kv or 5700kv.
That plus a 2S LiPo is blazing, 3S is just ludicrous.

the cheapest is the vxl system. Thats already overpowering your rustler. 5700kv with a 3 cell lipo would be uncontrollable though.

I would go with the novak havoc system for $150.

You get great novak customer service along with a nice sensored brushless setup with lipo cutoff, etc.

The Havoc is by far the best deal going for a good brushless system.

Does the sidewinder have a lipo cutoff?

I haven't used the castle, but I chose the novak due to lipo cutoff, reputation, and sensored motors.

Yes you can choose the Voltage that it cuts out @.
The CC has way more adjustments and is relatively cheap

But for a rustler I wouldn't go higher than a 4600KV due to it's already fast gearing in the transmission.

Yes, the Sidewinder has a low voltage cutoff - one you can set with the castle link.

Diff between Mamba Max and the Sidewinder is the amps they can handle - the MM can handle more amps than Sidewinder, reason it costs more. Unless you're going to use teh MM in a 1/10 as well, Sidewinder would be a better choice.
