a quick question
I just bought the JR 8417 digital servo and installed it last night.
This is my first digital servo and I am wondering if they all make a sort of buzzing noise. It's very odd, but I am not sure if thats normal for a digital servo. It says that its an FET servo, but theres no little blue wire to hook it up to my speed control.
Thanks for any response, the servo doesnt seem to be malfunctioning, its just make a lot of noise compared to my other JR Z270 std. servo.
Thanks, Ben

not all digital servo has that line which connected to the esc, unless it requires 7.2 volts to power the servo properly.
FET just means that the circuit in the servo is based on Field-Effect-Transistor circuit. It doesn't mean that it has a blue wire coming out of it, and again, only if it needs 7.2 volts.
I have a Futaba S 9450 digital servo. and it too make some buzzing sound, but it's not that loud. I won't worry too much about it. as long as it steers where you want it to go. you should be fine.

Do you need to be hooked up to a fet wire with the JR DS8417?

i heard that the buzzing noise is the little motor correcting the position of the servo horn, and its normal for a lot of servos. (my KO does it too)

I have a couple of Hitec HS-5945MG and they too buzz a little bit. And they don't have any "blue" or other wires other than the ones that connect to the receiver.
