Heavily considering getting a velox to replace my RRR, and just wondering if anyone has made the same upgrade? if so how did you find the velox in build/performance compared to the RRR?
Novarossi,
Have you tested/raced your velox yet? if so how does it compare to the other cars you have run?

The quality of the NT1 is over-rated. I built an 08 which was excellent, then built an 09, which was no where near as good.
I will debut the car at the Summer Nationals in two weeks, if you are going, come past for an inspection. I don't know of anyone else in Sydney that has the car (besides Snowy who is reviewing it for Racing Lines magazine). I will write up a review of it then.
Stayed tuned tonight and the next few nights as I will review and take photos of the build

i don't thing switching to any of the top cars from another would be considered an upgrade. if you left your hpi then that would definetely be upgrading

Of the 4 cars, so far I have been quickest in the RRR Evo2 on the same track.

Some more build pics...
Positives:
-Front Anti roll bar!! (see photo)
-Roll Centre adjustments (might try them more often now )
-Offset adjustments (no need to purchase seperate offset wheel hubs)
-Price of springs ($11 full set of front/rears)
-Excellent quality of plastics
Negatives
-Rear Upper arm - camber adjustment too hard, roll centre adjustment
-CVDs - two CVD slots needed to be dremeled as they were binding against the pin.
The battery pictured is a 850mAh LiPo, weight is 44grams, good for 45min final.

New night, a couple more hours work....
Love the steering system. Zero slop, looks solid, and ackerman adjustments look easy!
Issue I had was installing standard size Sanwa WX Digital servos. As you can see, I had to raise them about 4mm above the top plate to just clear the chassis. There was no mention of this anywhere in the manual, and I read over it 100 times. Looks like the car was designed to handle a low profile servo. Did anyone else experience this problem?
The first photo shows the servo installed as per normal, no shims, and the top plate sitting on the front mounts. As you can see, the servo hits the chasis and the top plate is a few millimeters away from resting on the radio tray mounts
