I have a question regarding the receiver battery. Is it possible to use a battery pack from V8? Or can I fit a battery like this one in the picture? I would like to use a LiFe 6.6V! The battery in the V10 manual is soldered differently and I assume the space is too small! I don't want to use LiPo or Lilo since it has 7.4V and you need a regulator (im not shure how is it called)

you can choose between an 5cell NiMh or an 2s hardcase LiPo!
If you find a LiFe wich is as long as a 4cell side by side 2/3A battery pack you can use it!!
But you dont need this realy. The Nimh battery pack ist very good, 1600mah capacity is more than enough for an hour long final!

I will add some information to the batterie stuff.
Yoou will have different possibilties.
1. Using our LiIo 1800mAh
This fits perfectly and if you are running a KoPropo or a Futaba Reciever
you can use it without a regulator
If you are running Sanwa, LiPo, LiIo is not recommended.
2. Using our NiMh 5 Cell pack with one cell at the outside
3. You can use a 4 cell NiMh
4. Check out the available LiPo packs that will fit
The meassurements should be 18,5mm high, and 65mmx39mm
That will be the space you will have for the batterie.
The 18,5 is messured with the fuel tank mounted in the lowest position.
So if you need a bit more you can higher the fuel tank a little bit.

hi,
yes you need to use a regulator anyway, but also with the regulator and the li batteries the sanwa have some problems, not on any radio and receiver but with some it donīt work.
We use the 16oomah batterie for any race, and 1 hour should nit be a problem,
if everything is fine with your electronic and if the batterie is charged completely it is no problem.

My LHS who is the Australian importer for Shepherd placed his initial order with them yesterday for the V10 so all things being good should have one late November or early December. Will be good to set it up in the off season for first race late January, This is our summer over here so hot weather and afternoon storms makes for plenty available track time.

Custom battery?
You can order a custom battery from onlybatterypacks.com.
I sent an email to them with a diagram. I then placed order for a 5 cell 1500 Nimh flat pack and restated the the diagram. Make sure the plug lead is on the end opposite the 5th cell on the side. that part goes to the front of car and the small part to the rear. I also sent a picture from online manual.
Page 24 shows the battery being installed.
