It all depends on your esc rx combo, and also if you have servo in forwards or rear wards position.
Running ko302 rx and gm 120 a 29 pinion is max with stock spur....
Lrp esc can fit 32ish if you stand the rx on it's side,
The idea of a pinion in the 50's is a nice idea but the space is far too tight,
I beleive ej runs about a 88 spur with 13.5......

Anyone had any trouble with the servo mounts?
Using the stock servo mounts with a Ko low profile servo or with a savox/team orion servo the servo horn catches the top deck. I have had to use HB mounts which move the servo out from the centerline.....Also whats the difference in running the servo in the rearward postion (back hole) compared to the forward postion.....except the arm catches the side of my servo.
Ive manged to get a 45 tooth pinion on a 100t spur

I can't move my servo on my scythe more to the front because of that.
I'm going to use other servo mounts on it.

How big of a spur gear do you think will fit before it hits anything like the chassis?

Orion 68001 VDS-1007 Fast servo (0.07/10Kgm)
Vortex digital servo
Fast 0.07 sec / 60 degrees
Torque 10Kgm
52.4 grams in weight
Size 40,3 x 20 x 37,2mm.
Its made by someone and then everyone rebadges it. Really got on with it well lately in my touring car, but to fit in the forward postion I have to use HB mounts, cut down on the front side to one mounting, then shave the corner off the servo so the arm doesnt hit it

I really like the low profile servos.
Usually the 2413 even tho they are kind of pricey.
The Futaba 9550 was nice and well priced but is discontinued now.
I wonder if they worked the bugs out of the 9551?
Digital. and 0.10 sec. @ 6v and over 80 oz." is good enough for me.
But it has to center perfectly and be smooth.
