No, the id is too small. T.O.P. has a 2x6mm pre-assembled ceramic thrust which fit the Scythe and other cars, but not the Photon

If you want a ceramic thrust use the 1.6mm ceramic balls (PO-CDB408BK) with the stock thrust washers.

OD do the new lipo locators fit the old chassis or only the new style?

The Auminum Battery Mounts really only fit the new lipo chassis. You can mount them on the 6 cell chassis, but there is only one screw that lines up with a hole. One of our local racers mounted them that way and put a second counter-sunk screw in the battery tape slot. It looked pretty solid but since the top of the screw just caught the edge of the tape slot it's probably not ideal

Hey guys I've encountered a slight problem when installing the 1.25mm camber link plate. Using the innermost position on the plate the countersunk screw touches the bearing cam so the plate doesn't sit flush across the bulkhead. I've tried various countersunk 3 by 6mm screws and they all protrude just enough to cause this problem. What's the best way to solve it? I've thought i could just put some spacers between the plate and the bulkhead (I realise this will affect the roll centre, but manageable), or 2, file away the top of the bearing cam or 3, file off the part of the screw that protrudes from the plate... What have you guys done to fix this? Thanks

The best way to solve the issue is to countersink the hole slightly deeper, the size of the head varies from manufacture to manufacture so it very hard to determine which one you'll end up with. If you have a drill press it will make easier.
Here is a site for countersinks and other stuff: http://www.mcmaster.com/#countersinks/=7hhhnf

Metric screws are 90° heads where US screws are 82° so your local hardware store countersink will not work. Make sure you get a metric specific countersink.

Hope that Helps,
James

Thanks James. I just took the easy/lazy way out and trimmed off the top 3 notch things on the bearing cam where it was touching. All sorted now.

So the Photon is a good solid reliable car?, I need something with a little less prep time before and at the track (non nitro), design of the TOP appeals to me, price I like even better.

Figure I may well buy one quite soon, with a hobbywing esc and whatever 10.5T I can find cheapish...

Default Bishop thinking

Stop thinking and do it its a great car. I went from a TC5 to a Photon. The car is stronger and responds well to car changes. The ball diff is so much better than the ball diff in the TC5. I run mine with the HobbyWing esc with 518 software and a Speed passion 10.5 motor. Great combo it was faster with a HobbyWing motor but just befor the club challenge last week i toasted it finding its limits.
STOP THINKING

Yeah I noticed that (another reason it caught my eye), I'm such a cheap bastard, so had to check twice when I saw OS would cost me like $480, but local pricing was $460, so lots has caught my attention with the TOP.
