TR spool fits Photon Pulley
One of the UK team drivers has been using the Titanium Racing Spool combined with the existing TOP Photon plastic pulley (with the outdrives machined out!).
The TR spool will also fit the TC5 and/or Yokomo BD 40T pulley but if you're having trouble sourcing them then this could work for you.

If you want any more tips PM me and I can run through it with you.

This is my idea, and it truly works ,I have raced 3 meetings and tons of testing now with no problems at all with using the Photon Pulley all you have to do is machine out the centre of one of your broken Pulleys and get TR spool, and its done, as simple as that, it makes the Front Spool really strong and no grief.

My TiR spool is a gold colour, not silver... looks the same design though.

So what are the main parts everyone is breaking on this car
I see it looks like people having trouble with the front spool
I have heard the steering crank
how are u guys fixing the steering crank and keeping it from breaking
normal stuff like chubs rear hubs and steering blocks
Planning on getting one but the steering crank and all the talk on the spool is concerning

I've just bought a car and the normal spares to go with like 1 each F/R hub, F/R wishbone, C hubs and a plastic spool.
I think there's no need for concern. The car seems pretty tough- the only steering belcrank failure were from people not rinning servo savers and hitting stuff big. Soultion is to run a saver, as you really should.
The spool issues have mostly been resolved with a v2 re-issue, and apparently fully resolved with using optional ally outdrive cups, though I haven't seen these yet. Aside from that you can buy aftermarket spools from TiR, Roache or Yokomo which are metal and so tough as boots.

Pick up a Kimbrough 201 servo saver (medium size) and Robert's your mother's brother; problem solved.
The spool can be a problem on very tight, high grip carpet. They are cheap enough to replace, but a better solution is a TiR item with a BD5 spool pulley. The alloy cups will also resolve this, once they're released.
I haven't managed to break anything else (yet), and believe me, my car gets some abuse at club meetings I did manage to strip the set screw out of the rear hub after a particularly hard hit, but CA soon fixed that
