It can charge just about anything but it's limited to 5 amps and for cars, thats a bit low.

When I was with another publication I did a charger guide with the Triton and the Quasar in it. If you have the money, go for the Quasar, it's a much much better charger for racing. If you fly and drive, then the Triton would be a decent choice. BUT, don't rule out the Competition Electronics Pit Bull. Yes, it needs an external power supply, but it's an incredible charger. Great quality, great charges, it's my #2 charger (#1 is a Turbo 35 ) I use the Reedy a few times a month. It's really nice because you don't need a power supply, and it's fairly user friendly. My only complaint on the Reedy is the alert tone is really loud and annoying on it. I don't really notice a difference in charge quality between that and the Turbo ro the Pit Bull, and that's a good thing. My only other complaint is I cycle my packs once a month or so to see how they are performing. To me, the Quasar is useless for this because it takes the Quasar over 60 seconds to ramp up to a 20 amp discharge. That means your voltage and runtime will be skewed because of the first 60 seconds. Just my .02.

ok i was just looking thru that article again and was wondering how the lrp comp stacks up. its alittle more than i want to spend. and im just getting into club racing so i dont know how far im going to go with the hobby just yet.......... but i've heard alot of people recommend the pit bull so i'm kind of leaning towards that charger.
