If your local track will be going with the single cell lipo, the SMC is the only game in town. Otherwise, you will have to jury-rig something to make it work with a single stick on one side and the electronics on the other...

Check out post #174 in the RC10R5 thread for a simple mod to fit 7.4V stick pack lipos.
