Transparent ones are softer than the black ones and apparently you had to replace them everytime you rebuilt the shock. From another thread(something along the lines of): "two o rings creates a heavier dampening effect"

yeah the problem of the transparent ones is that they sometimes swelling. and the black one is slightly harder.
two o-rings doenst fell so smooth to me on the track most of time when I tried them

In regards to the foam cushion inside the shocks on top of the bladder, is there any reason why people leave them out sometimes?

Hi Ronald,

do you use suspension ball joints as is or reduce excess play?
I found that in BD5 it's a little bit more compare to others chassis.

I found suspension binds when u try to take out play, but I took out steering up until there was only a tiny bit of play left and the car felt better and more consistent to drive.

Yokomo cars tend to have a lot more play than the others but it does not affect the handling of the car at all.

It's true, with the WX the play is much lesser compared to the previous BD and other cars.

I´m not Ronald, but my setup is identical from your, with only a minor change in rear RC, i put 1 mm in and 0.5 out ( in camber link) or 2 - 0.5, when i need to react quicker i put a yokomo springs Green - pink, sometimes a litle thin oil.
In bumpsteer i always use 0 mm.

Greetings, Luis C.

Try 0.5-1mm ackerman shims, and definatly remove front gear diff and bump steer
