Thanks for the compliments HarryN. I don't foresee a problem with parts as we plan on air-ship everything (Parts, Kits,...etc...everything!) so although that will cost us a bit more on the shipping side, our goal is to make sure that past mistakes like parts support does not hurt us and forces US customers to buy from overseas and source parts (and take the risk of the product never showing up). And this entity is setup so we can service each customers directly, and this allow us to ensure competitive pricing and allow us to maintain the level of customer service that we like to see associated with our products.

Those of you that are interested in the new car, again, we are taking a "early pre-order" list. No commitments, but just a quick show of hand on how many would be interested in one. Price again should be no more than $450 on the new BD-5. You can send your email to:

[email protected]

The e-commerce site is a bit behind right now, but we hope to have it up and running right before the launch of the car. First shipment will be just the cars only, and the parts will follow shortly (probably by the time you finish building the car, we'll have parts in stock)

Thanks

Steve Wang

The car will be 100% new parts so I really doubt, the parts will be cross-compatible

Hello Everyone,

I'll be honest and say there's a slight delay right now with the graphite chassis. Everything was done as far as cutting the chassis out, but they had to be sent back to the factory for a slight modification. Basically the chassis was cut to accommodate brushless motors that have a "tapered" front of the can where it mounts to the motor plate, however, some brushless motors have a flat can profile on the front so the graphite chassis all had to be modified slightly to accommodate this. So because of this I believe the release date is being pushed back a bit now to early April. Sorry for the delay guys, but Yokomo wanted to make sure that everything was done right
