B4 grinds a little when taking off sometimes...
I'm running a 10.5 LRP Eraser/LRP AI combo, Venom 7.4 lipo, and my gearing is 24/81 (I think the spur is 81, whatever comes with the FT kit) I notice when I take off, sometimes I hear a slight grinding sound, it ONLY does it when taking off from a dead stop. If my gear mesh was too tight, it would do it all the time, right? What could it be if not that?

it is either your gear mesh or diff

If everything in the drive train is free and in good shape. Make sure your motor timing is not too high, either on the motor or ESC. When you run brushless motor timing too high the motor will cog. This cogging will sound very much like gears grinding. Hope this helps.

A ha! It's the simple things we never think about giving us the most problems. Glad too see the problem is fixed.
