The Original "OUTLAW" low CG chassis For the Traxxas Slash
A must for Modified Slash Racing or any hardcore basher. Could the Associated SC10 make these nearly mandatory?
Is it possible? Could rollovers be a thing or the past? ..... We think so.
The OUTLAW chassis dramatically lowers your truck's center of gravity (CG) without loosing suspension or ground clearance under axels.
Kit Features:
Relocated servo (protects servo and linkage with easy access for service.)
Can be used with a 6,7 or 8 cell NiCd or NiMh flat packs / or hard case Lipos.
Battery position is adjustable for weight bias front to rear. (has no weight bias adjustment when using 8 cell packs)
Access to ESC power switch without removing body.
Flat bottom chassis glides over obstacles with out hanging up on braces or "kicking" rear up.
(Can Aslso be used to convert Rustler or Stampede with additional parts from Traxxas)

good stuff right there!! I have said since the first time I saw pics of the sc10that if traxxas wants to stay in the race they needed a lengthened rustler chassis to get that competitive edge back to the slash ,and voila here it is!

That is a cool looking chassis. For the places that don't run a spec class that will be a nice upgrade.

Fact of the matter is, this is a nice upgrade no doubt, more user friendly than the Aluminum frame chassis thats out there for the same price. But in order to run this you'd need to be in an unlimited class, or a place that really has no rules.
Most big shops and tracks run spec classes for the Slash, so this would live up to its name and be "Outlawed" from spec class competition. Where I race with my friends, it would get bumped to a gearbox class with Losi XXXT and AE T4 models.
I would own the Outlaw chassis for outdoor dirt courses only.

Since all the slash racers fought so hard to run spec rules,
this chassis is ahead of its time and obsolete all at the same time.
Since there's so little diecutting for battery slots,
for 85-bucks you'd think you'd at least get carbon fiber.

You'd have to get a group of people to commit to a "mod Slash/SC10" class to use this. If that's the case, maybe the kit can be ordered in a group of 5 or something and hopefully get a discount for the kits and combine the shipping costs to one destination.
What does "introductory price" mean? To me it means the price can come down based on the demand for the product.

I think I'll just add another $85 and buy an SC10.

In the future, all of the machined delrin parts can be replaced by injection molded parts when & if the demand for this kit warrants making the investment into the molds. Also note that the when we move into the injection molding, it will also allow us the shave some weight from these parts.
At that time the price will drop to a much more affordable level.

Though it takes away from a stock class, I would rather buy my own electronics, or use ones that I already have to put into a kit. Rather than stay with RTR spec goodies.

I'd buy it right now if there was a higher demand and saw them popping up everywhere at tracks. That would mean enough people have them for track operators to warrant an added class and there would be competition for them. As of right now, there is going to be nothing but deep pocketed bashers buying these. I see more of a market for a carbon fiber factory replacement with some smartly engineered structure additions to correct flaws in the traxxas factory chassis than I do this.
