I miss the fast reply feature...
It's curious that Novak seems to be operating under the same premise as LRP here. Both have come out with their new generation of brushless motors, and aren't even bothering to offer them in the slow winds. I can only imagine that the premise is that they know they can't make their old slow wind motors any faster, so they aren't even trying.

In regards to the 'Spec' winds for the Ballistic brushless motors, Steve Weiss addressed that question in his thread a few days ago....
"Eventually... but we are releasing them in 3.5-8.5 initially. We didn't want to release everything at once and force everyone running the spec classes to run out and get another new motor
We plan on releasing them after some undefined period of time."

exactly! the only way a 21.5 would be ballistic is on 100 volts.

We WILL be carrying over this design to the 10.5 -21.5 motors in due time.
Our reasoning behind not releasing them right away was due to the fact that a number of series around the country use our motors exclusively and we did not want to introduce/force a new motor on people in the middle of their season.
I'm sure plenty of people would have bought the new motor anyways... but we were concerned about the number of complaints that we would get.
As far as an ETA for when the motors will be available I don't have any information in regards to that.

Wow, they look great. Is the center ring replaceable with the rings/heatsinks from the previous generation of motors? I'd love to put the blue one on there.
