Default trucks on carpet? What foams

Is anyone running trucks on carpet? What foams are you running? We used to run John's BSR but no one seems to carry them any more. The trucks are Losi xxxt's and AE T4's... Thanks!

We run trucks on carpet, but we use rubber tires. Duratrax and proline weenier dude type. The hook up great and the Duratrax last a season. The prolines only last a month or so.

The buggys run foams. A guy gets some 35 shore 1/8 foam and mounts them to stock rims. I have gotten almost a season out of them. we use to run green dot but they only last 2 race days.

BSR still makes and sells truck tires! Your local hobby shop can order them through Horizon. You can contact Lefthander-rc.com and they can order them for you. Discountrctires.com tires should carry them as well. Or if you want have your hobby shop call BSR directly and they can order them 513-829-5998.

Thanks guys, the LHS said he couldn't get them, but we'll ask again...

Part Time - are you referring to 1/8 scale foams that go inside the tire? You run those as tires? I may be way off...
Can you post a link to the 1/8 foam you are referring to, please? Thanks!

We used 1/10 pan car rear donuts and cut them so we get a front and rear out of one donut. Slip them on the stock off road rims with the inside bead wall ground off. this way you still have that outside edge to protect the foam from chunking.

A local took it the next step and found some good 35 shore 1/8 onroad donuts to chop up for the buggys. Good traction and they last for ever.

Ive seen a few guys try foams on the truck and they dont work that well. Too much traction. At one point I was traction rolling my t4 with rubbers, cant emagine what it would be like with foam.

RC4Less (www.rc4less.com) sells truck foams. They are on very sturdy wheels.
