I tried putting the two alligator clips together and then when I put my battery in it started beeping lik it said it should in the manual. The only thing is when I press the start button it doesn't go into charging mode. Does anyone know why this is and if what I m doing is at all possible to do. Also does anyone know of or have a good nimh rx charger for cheap or a power supply for this one?

You did strip some insulation and then placed the alligator clip on right?

Why did you buy the rx battery charger anyway then? All you need is an adapter to fit the rx battery.

What do you mean by - "I tried putting the two alligator clips together." Do you mean you hooked-up the 12v DC input leads to the 12v input leads of the receiver pack!!!? What you need to do is hook the receiver pack charger input leads to a 12v source, like a car battery. It would be great for charging receiver packs at outdoor venues without power, the 'brain' charger would do the same thing though. And, if you are only charging receiver packs a AC to 12v DC power upply seem like a waste of money.

I didnt know that there were ada[tors from deans to rx batteries and will my charger charge a 5 cell? Also where can I get an adaptor?

The purple charger will charge you receiver pack no problem. There's no need for that other charger.
All you have to do is by another receiver plug and then use the output alligator clips to the ends of the wire.
That's how I charge my receiver pack.

Would it be ok to cut off the plug from the charger I do not need?

Sure, that will work. I thought you would have wanted to return the charger.

Oh I didnt know I could. In that case I will.

Call the place where you got them from explain to them that you didn't realize that you needed a power supply and see if you can return it. Make the emphasis that it hasn't been used and is still in the original packaging.
