I would say so. I have 2652 on my 353 09. Since 353 08 and 353 09 have the same port timing, 2652 should provide the same performance.

i am using the 2652 with my 353 08 and also 353 09... on both engines, the new pipe works flawlessly... i cant tell if there is any performance gain but the fuel consumption is noticeably better...

another plus point is that the pipe is bloody sturdy!

How many shimm does a 353 09 have? and how many shimm should you put in it when running a 20% nitro? thanks.

it should be shim for 16%....it has one silver shim which is .2, to shim it for 20% add .1 which is a copper shim....for 25-30% go with .2...that should work fine.

I realized that there is no black crankcase under the purple cooling heads of Novarossi 353'09 on the pictures...They are like 353'08 version crankcase. Anyone knows anything about it?

I have seen the new offroad Toro Nero engine has a different bore/stroke specs (15.88mm x 17.60mm) and from what I have heard some teamdrivers are driving with an onroad version with these specs, anyone knows more?

just running in a 353 race 09 now and couldnt help but notice that during a few tanks on the box its was getting up to around 80-85celcius , compared to 65-70 on my 3sct? must be a leaner needle setting from factory?

that's the temp they should be reaching whilst breaking in. Idle it for only one tank to clear out the junk and to run everything in slightly, then for the second tank begin to drive it just blipping the throttle, loading it up, and get heavier ont he throttle every tank. by the 5th tank you should be holding down the throttle down the straight, and it should be rich-ish maybe about 110 degrees celcius.

then just go by feel.you can see when an engine is breaking in as it gets richer each tank as the piston/liner fit expands and breaks itself in, when this occurs every tank, lean it just a fraction then run it like this for the rest of the tank.

thanks Tom , ran it last night and it feels as quick as my previous nova 3sct, must of been the cool air cause it wasnt running over 90-95c with good smoke.

has anyone else who has a 353 '09 found that the bearings don't last long? someone at my track had the front (small bearing) go after 1 litre, and one other person had the bearings go also.

does anyone know of a good quality replacement bearing front and rear for the new 353 '09's?
