Default cup racer

I was wondering how is this car on the regular street. I have been thinking about the Datsun 510 and paint it like my forza motorsports car. I was reading in one of the rc magazine that it doesn't do to well on regular street, is this true?

Hey guys, I´m new here and I found this thread recently when looking for information about the CR.

I completed my Porsche tonight, and I thought I would share some pics. Looking forward to running it next weekend!

This is my first kit car... The first time I full throttled the car with a 13turn mod. motor the Futaba mc330cr and Orion 3000mah nimh, the tires where like balloons and came unglued and it is fasssssssst Too fast for first time running I only was lasting 15 20 minutes of run time. It was hottttt. I tamed it down with a 21 turn mod and went with a higher MAH 4600 nimh. Its quick now and still fast but Im looking for smaller pinions and a LIPO that can fit in the standard battery casing but not having any luck

Right now the specs..

MX60 Slick Medium tires
Novak XRS
Deans to the motor to the ESC
Venom 21 mod turn motor
Venom 4600 mah nimh battery
2.4ghz Futaba 2PL

Im n new to the hobby of 1/10th / mini I am new to teching with this car and need help from time to time with it.

I personally think that the eight spokes only in matte chrome and chrome look better on the Porsche. The Fuchs wheels are a problem to paint the centers due to the flakeness I had on the lips of mine. I am waiting for them to release the Porsche wheels so I can pick another set up.

I'll post pictures of it when I have enough posts to do so. But mine is sick looking with the White and Red RSR scheme to it. Wait and see and youll be blown away. Its real nicccce.

Well, yes sir I can!

Front 0mm offset wheel, part number is 3918

Rear 6mm offset wheel, part number is 3928

Seems they are not available yet though, can´t find them anywhere (except in the manual that came with my kit), not even on HPI´s website.

Today I ran the CR on an indoor carpet track for the first time, with a satisfactory result. I could use a bit more grip than the kit slicks provide so I will try some traction compound next time out. But I actually thougt it would be worse than it was, so that was a nice surprise all in all. The car did what I expected it to, and nothing broke!

I have a question to all of you who have been running it for a while; what is a good brushed esc to go for? I´m currently running it with a spare Traxxas XL-5 that´s been left over fom my Slash. I´m looking for something with a smooth feeling and decent braking capabilities.

I'm running an old LRP Quantam speed control in mine with a 27t brushed stock motor. Even with the punch control turned all the way down, the back end still would want to step out on me about half way down the straight. I suppose this will get to be less of a problem once we get our spec motors in stock, so I am going to stick with the LRP.

It looks like an old Racecraft BMW 318i, I remember them from the late 90s here in the UK, and they were hard to get then!
