As I mentioned good race slicks are 55mm. The radials are not at the same performance level as the ABC tire.
I'll have to post a pic with my HPI Datsun over ABC slicks- mine looks funny to me

Man!!, these tires are hard to get a hold of.....
Finally made it down to Ultimate Hobbies today, great store, but alas no tires. From Pasadena to OC, none to be found. Luckily Stormer had gotten some in stock (email notification) so I hit 'em up w/ a quickness to scoop up what they had.....

would this be a good car for my first on road?
i run spec slash and 1/8 e-buggy...and it's fun, but sometimes i'm stuck not being able to race (all the tracks are quite a ways from me) and would like somethign to run in the local parking lots and even at the local parking lot races...
they use 540 motors, right? i was thinking about getting a stock SC10 rtr esc and running it since it's got lipo cut off and they're pretty cheap

If you have mini's in mind...then Yes get a CR if not look into like a Cyclone S touring car, both are great for parking lot racing as well as indoor. As for 540 motors we here in So Cal run 540 spec motors for our club races...so it all depends on what your local club use for motors. Hope this answers your ?'s.
