to fit hard case lipo you can use two of the short fat body post ends as an extender for the battery cage. I have been running mine like that for a couple of weeks.

just a little tuning done... I didn't want to go overboard with it... just a little modern influence but still that old school 240z.

We understand that you are severly disapointed in the car. We get it. We just think you should go find another thread and complain about their stuff. Its obvious that you have a disdain for this product and HPI in general. Im really not intrested in anything else you have to say about how poorly the battery is mounted. I for one am lovin the pics of all these 240z cars painted up like a show.

Just ignore him and he should go away. If he keeps on persisting that poorly mounted batteries make the Cup Racer the worst R/C car ever designed that just makes him a troll.
The thing is Cannon you already said your complaint a few pages ago. There's no need to repeat it with each and every post. If battery wires in the suspension of your Cup Racer is such a deal breaker for you, how about coming up with a solution instead of constantly blaming the HPI engineers of mental retardation. Those same engineers recently designed cars like the D8, Savage Flux, Cyber 10B, D8e, D8T, and the new F1 as well.

Kingcobra, awesome 240! Looks like something I seen in a tuning mag. Old school Z replete with crazy boost RB26

Default New Pic

I just thought I'd throw my pic into the mix. Love this little car, so much fun. Racing at BCR, and it is very competitive. My only beef, I need spare parts and fast.http://www.rctech.net/forum/attachme...1&d=1240898371

BTW, that's a sweet looking ride - I'm assuming ABC body? What kind of motors are you guys running out there?

Did you try the standup socks with the 240z body?
ABC tires and body with Mabuchi is the rules for the local series I want to put this car in soon.

looks nice, Mark

After building 95% of mine yesterday, I did notice that spares in general might be a pure PITA - with parts hopping all over the various trees

what did you break?

Looks awesome, I was planing on doing that same idea with the sedan rims. I found a set of tires with 61mm dia.

Again, looks AWESOME.
