The alloy axle hubs from hot racing are a nice upgrade also.

I use the stock ones still. I put a little thread lock on the nut inside the hub, this way it stays put. This has been working for me.

Hot racing does have threaded aluminium hubs.. they're a good upgrade as well.

Cheers.
Did you ever get those new photos of your Dad's Alfa? Would be great to see them.

Looking to buy a CR and I stumbled on this thread looking for info. WOW... tons of great info but too much to get through and find all my answers. I'm fairly new to the hobby and don't have an on-road yet. I'll apologize up front if these question have been answered, just can't get through 173 pages.

I have a CC Sidewinder SCT which I'm looking to use. I'm going to use the car for drifting and on-road. No racing thoughts as of today, just playing around my area.

I'm wondering what the "must have" mods are before running it?
Also, looking for a few opinions on best motor choices, brushed and/or brushless?

Thanks for the input in advance

KING,

What motor/esc setup didi you use, I am running a Castle Mamba Max / 7700 motor; it's a handful...

How are you liking the HB?

Default ESC/Motor selection

Hi guys

New to this forum and just wanted to say hi and nice thread.
I got the C Racer on order from my LHS and was wondering if the Motor from the Axial SCX10 would work and/or the Motor from the Losi XXX-SCT would work. I will be using the ESC from the Losi.
Will not be racing in any "Legal" races but will be doing some fun scale races etc.
I am looking for a balance of speed, acceleration, handling and run times.
None of this extreme speed stuff. I get that from my XXX-SCT with Brushless setup

Any info would be grand

Bah, I just noticed that the Losi Motor is a 550 and that the C Racer takes 540 motors.
